After setting his pizza down, he reached for his wallet and I noticed how severe his hands were trembling. He asked me to pull out enough money for the food. I tried to act like it wasn't a big deal, and he mentioned that he'd had an accident on the job that cost him his leg and some motor functions. My heart was on the floor when I left.
