    The trope that Scar is a better king isn't just a fun, subversive take; it's a moral failure of the entire movie. Disney, an American company, promoting divine birthright? Not a plot hole, a cancer which infects the entire movie. Maybe if the songs weren't the most annoying c**p ever recorded (making Celine Dion seem like Led Zeppelin), I might let it slide 1%. But definitely among the worst Disney movies ever (Yes, the lion is cute.)

    Recently saw this one again a few months back after not seeing it since a kid. It's a really lovely film. Very gentle in the beginning and an amazing villain.
